Senator Angela Paxton Endorses Local School Board Candidates

On Thursday, April 20, Senator Angela Paxton released the following statement endorsing four local school board candidates.

“I believe great leadership is the result of three simple words: listen, learn, lead. I am proud to endorse local school board candidates who reflect this approach.

School boards have the sacred task of overseeing local school district operations and performance on behalf of the taxpayers and parents. Simply put, the superintendent is responsible to the board, and the board is responsible to the taxpayers and parents. Unfortunately, some boards have forgotten who they work for. It is critical that we elect school board members who responsively recognize the essential role of parents in the education of their children, who protect and nurture the critical partnership between teacher and parent, and who understand that transparency is the foundation of public trust.

The following candidates have committed to those principles, and I am honored to endorse them:

McKinney ISD

Frisco ISD

I believe these candidates will faithfully listen, learn and lead.

Join me in supporting these candidates! Early voting begins this Monday and concludes on Election Day, May 6.“
