Texas State Senator Angela Paxton Establishes District Office and Hosts Open House

Texas State Senator Angela Paxton, who represents Senate District 8, is hosting an Open House for her District Office on Thursday, September 19 from 4 PM ‐ 6 PM at 604 South Watters Road, Suite 100; Allen, Texas 75013. All constituents as well as business and community leaders are invited to visit the office and meet Senator Paxton and her district staff.

Senator Paxton recently appointed Sheacy Thompson to serve as her Deputy Chief of Staff. Sheacy works from the District Office.

“Sheacy has served as a leader in Collin County for nearly 20 years. She has extensive knowledge of the state legislative process and policy issues, possesses superb writing and communication skills, and offers a real passion for our community.”

Sheacy has over 10 years of combined experience working for the Texas Senate and Texas House of Representatives. Most recently, Sheacy was the Director of Public Relations for Leadership Prep School, an open‐enrollment charter school in Frisco. She has worked as a staff assistant for a United States Senator, an Adjunct Professor of Political Science at Collin College, and developed technology sector strategies for the local workforce board. She holds a Master of Arts Degree and a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Political Science, both from the University of Texas at Arlington, and resides in Frisco with her husband and their two daughters. She has lived in Frisco since 2001, and she and her family are members of First Frisco United Methodist Church.

Additionally, Senator Paxton promoted Della Bryant to serve as Senator Paxton’s District Director.

“Della has served as a tremendous asset in my office from the very beginning as Director of Operations and Scheduling. She is an excellent listener and problem‐solver who possesses genuine compassion for others. I am excited to have Della working here in the district with me as we find solutions for complex issues facing our local communities,” says Senator Paxton.

Della has over 20 years of legal assistant, court coordinator and office management experience. Her extensive background in government administration and office management and her thorough understanding of legislative and judicial processes provide valuable expertise for District 8. Most recently, Della was the Administrative Manager and Executive Assistant to the Collin County District Attorney. She is fluent in Spanish and has worked as a legal assistant for several law firms in Texas and Oklahoma throughout her career. Della attended Abilene Christian University and received her certified legal assistant degree from Tulsa University. She has been a member of Prestonwood Baptist Church for 25 years, resides in Allen with her husband and is a proud mother of two Texas Aggies.
