Sen. Paxton Files “Ellie’s Law” to protect Texas Children
Today, Sen. Paxton filed “Ellie’s Law” (Senate Bill 225) to protect Texas children by requiring that violations and deficiencies remain associated to the individual caregiver’s name so that parents have appropriate information when deciding on their child’s caregiver and childcare facility.
Parents are looking for the best day care options available to ensure the safety and well-being of their children. It is the duty of the state to ensure transparency so parents have the opportunity to make informed decisions about their child’s care. Ellie’s Law arms parents to do exactly that.
